Join us for a new community workshop exploring homelessness, substance use, stigma and safety — and the stories and circumstances we don’t always see behind what is happening in our communities. No previous knowledge or experience is required. Through stories, discussion, reflection and practical learning, we’ll explore some of the pathways that can shape homelessness and substance use, look at common assumptions and stigma, and consider the difference between discomfort and danger when we encounter situations in our communities. This session is a community pilot. As part of the pilot process, we’re asking participants to complete a short feedback survey following the workshop. Your feedback will help us understand what resonated, what could be clearer, and where the conversation could go deeper as we continue developing the workshop for future communities and organizations. Come with your questions, experiences and perspectives. This is a space to learn, reflect and have conversations about issues many of us encounter in our communities. Registration is free and open to the public. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.
