On Halloween night itself, WEEKEND BLACKBOX SESSION enters another world with YOKAI NIGHT – SPIRITS OF JAPAN –. Drawing inspiration from Japanese folklore, supernatural tales, and the mysterious world of yokai, LIVING ROOM is transformed into a contemporary interpretation of Japan after dark — where ancient spirits, shadowy figures, smoke, and sound emerge from another world. For this special edition, the music unfolds entirely through exclusive back-to-back sets, bringing together eight DJs in four distinct pairings. Each collaboration creates its own musical journey, with unexpected combinations and continuously shifting energy throughout the night. 【YUUKI YOSHIYAMA B2B TENNAN】 YUUKI YOSHIYAMA, W Osaka’s Music & Entertainment Director, brings home a sound refined on some of the world’s most iconic stages. The first Japanese artist to perform at Tomorrowland Winter, he has also made two consecutive appearances at Tomorrowland, alongside performances at EDC Las Vegas, EDC Korea, EDC Thailand, Bootshaus in Germany, and Amsterdam Dance Event. His discography includes releases on labels such as Toolroom Records and Tronic. One of his recent releases, “Identity,” has also received strong support from Carl Cox and other leading DJs. He joins forces with UK-based DJ and producer TENNAN, whose groove-driven tech house has found its way onto labels including Moon Harbour, VIVa Music, and Repopulate Mars. 【DMITRI ABSINTHE B2B MAX PELA】 Two of W Osaka’s resident DJs unite for a special B2B session. Originally from Russia and shaped by Tel Aviv’s underground scene, DMITRI ABSINTHE brings a diverse musical perspective spanning deep and soulful house, disco, and hypnotic techno. Joining him is MAX PELA, a Dominican-born DJ whose deep and afro house sound is rooted in decades of international experience. Through his BABALÚ events and Afrobeta Bodega platform, he continues to share Afro-rooted rhythms and underground house culture. Their collaboration brings together deep musical knowledge, organic rhythms, and soulful energy, creating an immersive journey across the deeper side of the dancefloor. 【idiotYuuka B2B Nanako Yamane】 Osaka-based DJ idiotYuuka brings a driving, club-focused sound built around house, tech house, and techno. Known for her powerful selections and strong sense of musical progression, she has performed across Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, and Kobe. Joining her is Nanako Yamane, whose vinyl-focused approach draws inspiration from soulful vocal house and the classic sounds of Chicago and Detroit. Active across clubs, DJ bars, and lounges, she also launched her own event, NYLON, in Tokyo. Together, their contrasting styles create a dynamic meeting of driving beats and soulful grooves, bringing fresh energy and unexpected musical directions to the night. 【f1y B2B tmat】 Representing another side of Osaka’s underground scene, f1y brings experience from the city’s bass, garage, and techno-oriented parties, with appearances at venues including CIRCUS OSAKA and club JOULE. Joining f1y is tmat, who has performed across Osaka’s house and techno scene, including appearances at W Osaka. A distinctly Japanese interpretation of Halloween, YOKAI NIGHT brings folklore into a contemporary club setting — an immersive night where traditional imagery and modern electronic music collide.
