Ōmeyōcān: Tzapotl, is the second gathering in a two-part cultural series exploring the intersection of life, death, celebration, and Indigenous memory and spirituality, through contemporary art and nightlife. Scheduled for November 1, 2026, the event follows Xōchitl: A Celebration of Flowers, Rave & Art (September 18, 2026), expanding the project's seasonal narrative from flowers to fruit and marking the transition into harvest season.
Taking place one week after what we now recognize as Día de Muertos, Tzapotl, draws inspiration from Mexica understandings of abundance, reciprocity, and remembrance. Fruit serves as both a symbolic and physical offering, forming a large community altar that grounds the space and invites reflection while celebrating the creative force of our queer and trans communities.
