C&IS Hall of Fame

Established in 1998 by the College of Communication and Information Sciences Board of Visitors, the C&IS Hall of Fame honors, preserves and celebrates the names and accomplishments of individuals who have brought lasting prominence to the state of Alabama through the application of disciplines taught, researched and practiced within the College. Inductees are recognized every other year for their distinguished achievements, professional excellence and enduring impact. Since its founding, the C&IS Hall of Fame has welcomed nearly 100 members whose contributions have helped shape the fields of communication and information sciences in Alabama and beyond. The C&IS Hall of Fame gallery is located in the rotunda of Reese Phifer Hall on The University of Alabama campus.
