Poppy Clean Up (12 November)

Poppy Clean Up is a hands-on day of caring for veteran gravesites and helping preserve the symbols of remembrance left behind following Remembrance Day. Volunteers will gently collect poppies from veteran headstones and gravesites while helping clear light debris and care for the cemetery. For this event, Operation Restoration has partnered with No Stone Left Alone (NSLA) . All poppies collected during the cleanup will be returned to NSLA so they can be recycled and reused where possible, helping reduce waste while continuing to support remembrance initiatives. By signing up, you help Operation Restoration uphold our mission of respect, dignity, and remembrance for every veteran we serve. Please complete this form to reserve your volunteer spot and receive event details for Beechmount Cemetery in Edmonton . Weather Note: As this event takes place during a time of year when Edmonton may experience significant snowfall, conditions will be monitored closely. If inclement weather or snowpack makes it difficult to safely locate and collect the poppies, the event will be rescheduled to early spring as the snow begins to melt. We will send updates to registered volunteers closer to the event based on temperatures, snowfall, and snowpack conditions.
