Omega Writers Conference 2026 - Building Blocks & Pathways

Featuring International Speakers
We’re honoured to welcome Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith, a physician, bestselling author, and respected voice in faith-driven creativity and sustainable performance. Her work thoughtfully integrates scientific insight with biblical wisdom, offering practical and spiritually grounded guidance.
Her sessions will explore:

• Building sustainable creative rhythms
• Finding rest as a writer
• Approaching marketing with integrity and purpose
• Practical PR strategies through her hands-on workshop

Joining her is Mark Ritchie from the UK, a dynamic communicator and performer known for blending humour with powerful storytelling. With years of experience at the Edinburgh Fringe and on global stages, Mark will challenge writers to think differently about creativity and communication.
His sessions will focus on:

• Breaking creative limitations and unlocking innovation
• Writing humour with authenticity and purpose

Returning Favourites
We’re also delighted to welcome back a range of trusted speakers, including Penny Reeve, Dr James Cooper, Dr Pete Court, Katrina Roe, and Nola Passmore—bringing expertise across storytelling, editing, non-fiction, and historical writing.

Friday Intensive: Manuscript Development
For those wanting a deeper dive, Rochelle Stephens will lead a limited-capacity intensive for children’s and YA writers. Participants will receive pre-prepared editorial feedback and spend dedicated time refining their manuscripts in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Extend Your Experience
Delegates have the option to arrive early for the intensive and may also choose to extend their stay after the conference for additional time to rest, reflect, and connect with fellow writers.

Important Information
Due to venue limitations:

• Special accommodation requests must be booked early
• Single rooms are rarely available and prioritised carefully
• Dietary requirements must be clearly submitted in advance

This year’s conference promises to be a rich time of learning, creativity, and connection. Whether you’re just starting out or well into your writing journey, Building Blocks and Pathways is designed to equip you for what’s next.
