-Gonno- (Sanka / Ostgut Ton) As a leading DJ and producer in the Japanese house and techno scene, they are active both domestically and internationally. They have released numerous works primarily through overseas labels, including International Feel Recordings (Ibiza), Beats In Space (New York), and Ostgut Ton (Berlin).Their second album, "Remember The Life Is Beautiful," released in 2015, was featured in prominent international media such as Pitchfork and Resident Advisor, and was ranked among the best albums of the year by Japan's Music Magazine.They also perform live under the moniker "Gonno x Masumura" alongside drummer/percussionist Kazuhiko Masumura. Their collaborative album, "In Circles," generated significant buzz across various fields for its highly experimental fusion of acid-tinged, melodic synthesizers and live drumming infused with Afrobeat rhythms.With a storytelling DJ style forged through a broad and diverse career, they are highly acclaimed worldwide. They have performed at major international festivals and venues, including Berghain’s 12th anniversary and 20th anniversary (Panorama Bar) in Berlin, as well as Dekmantel Selectors. In recent years, they have been touring energetically not only in Europe but also across the Americas and Asia.In 2023, they released their first solo EP in about eight years via Taipei’s JIN Records. In 2024, they finally launched their own record label, "Sanka."
