A grimly fiendish coming together of dark entities to celebrate Devil's Eve at The Graveyard. Otherworldly delights include Miss Gender, KÖMUNE, Belial B'Zarr, Lesbian Vampire Cult, Offworld Aesthetic, Kiki Myndacrutch, EN_ZO and darkwave supergroup Chiron.

Indulge desire and bathe in the light of this funeral pyre, as traumata doom pop trio KÖMUNE report from the bleak edges of late civilisation, while EN_ZO weave gossamer threads of sex and sorrow, with Chiron bringing it all back to the graven darkwave from whence we all came.

Live sets will be punctuated with interstitial nightmares as performed by the Aberrant Miss Gender, the Deviant Belial B'Zarr, the Preternatural Lesbian Vampire Cult and the Unwonted Kiki Myndacrutch in a FLINTA+ bacchanalian sensory banquet, plus DJ sets by Kristen Solury of The Bleeding Black Hearts Revue and treats by Offworld Aesthetic.

Want to exhume a little more about the entertainment? Then read on my darklings…

Chiron

What happens when two founding members of Australia’s cult darkwave band Ikon, join forces with Minorarc’s prog and cinematics-driven Ivan? A Dark Beauty is born! Chiron breathes dark and persistent beauty through emotion-driven vocals and music that pays homage to the long-standing project’s darkwave roots, yet with tendrils of modern metal and gothic-rock lurking in wait.

KÖMUNE

Doom‑tinged electronic project born out of dislocation and refusal. Writing from the bleak edges of late civilisation, exorcising fear through collaborative noise, spectral storytelling, and songs that feel like cautionary tales cracked open and repurposed as healing rituals. A place where dark electronica, doom pop, and hurt gospel blur into sonic poetry, psychosocial babble and sideways protest.

EN_ZO

Nil. Zero. Nothing. Melbourne's most cursed goth band playing songs of sorrow, sex and sadness meets darkwave western. Post-punk 100% queer goths. Their sophomore EP “Nine of Swords” is due this spooky season in October. Expect swirling ethereal strings, crushing guitars and grasping misery. Best described as music for the chronically sad and horny.

DJ Kristen Solury

DJ extraordinaire from the beloved Bleeding Black Hearts Revue on PBS FM, resident DJ at Elysium and Fang, regular guest at The New Order, Darkwave Klub, Black Planet and various pop up gigs about town. Specialising in darkwave, goth rock, synthpop, EBM/industrial and post-punk from the ‘70s through til now.

Miss Gender

Miss Gender is the hottest menace on the local drag king and thing scene, serving you camp, sex and gender confusion! They are also famously the ONLY lesbian in Naarm. Miss Gender is a professional yearner, a semi-professional dancer and your new gaysian crush.

Belial B'Zarr

Noseflute-tooting, melodica-dooting lizard wizard Naarm-based drag creature, artist and performer.

Lesbian Vampire Cult

The underground dark alternative event collector of things gothic, industrial, and sapphic-themed for the queer community.

Kiki Myndacrutch

Melbourne's resident Swamp Witch, known for a quirky visual style, dry humour, and unique stage presence. They have self-described as “a non-binary algae bloom with an ADHD diagnosis”.

Offworld Aesthetic

Offworld Aesthetic is a size inclusive, vegan, queer/disabled owned brand ethically producing accessories for fashion-forward folk from all walks of life. OA's pieces are perfect as a gift of affection to your universe – or for creating a statement that’d conquer it. Created in Naarm at the height of the 2020 lockdown, OA prioritises designing with sensory sensitivities and environmentally sustainable practices in mind, and also offers custom designs on a commission basis.
