Or What Have The Norman's Ever Done for Us? - With the Bayeux tapestry going on exhibition this autumn, it seems an appropriate time to do a guided walk around the Norman 'new town' of Southampton. The medieval walled town was created by the Norman and Angevin kings and we will be visiting key sites, as well as hearing about the Saxons and Danes who were all part of that tumultuous period of historyThis is a 50th Anniversary Special Walk curated by Dr Cheryl Butler
