Looking to do basic maintenance on your car but don't know where to start? This class will show you how to perform a basic oil change, along with other periodic vehicle maintenance.Part demonstration, part hands-on, we'll cover basic automotive components and tools, how to put a car up on ramps, and the fundamentals of an oil change and oil disposal. Instruction will also cover tire pressure, washer fluid, brake fluid, transmission fluid and battery check, as well as requirements for appropriate disposal of household hazardous waste.Key safety information will be discussed at each step in the process. A list of tools and procedures will be provided via email PDF.Instructor Tim Nelson is a self-taught mechanic and a firm believer that most technology is within easy reach if you are willing to learn.
