TAG Sessions is an intimate live music experience at The Travel Cafe, Development Area, Gangtok. For the past nine years, this community gathering has welcomed musicians from across the country to our tiny stage. It’s a space where people can walk in alone, share an evening of live music, and leave having made new friends. For our next session, we welcome Multiverse from Gangtok/Kalimpong.

About the Performance

This performance is a musical journey by three Himalayan musicians, inspired by the natural landscapes of the Himalayas. Featuring sitar, tabla, murchunga, and drums, it brings together Indian classical textures, earthy rhythms, and ambient soundscapes.

Inspired by the mountains, forests, rivers, wind, and the quiet energy of nature, the music moves between powerful rhythmic grooves and spacious, meditative passages. The interplay of traditional instruments and contemporary elements creates a soundscape that reflects the diverse spirit of Himalayan life and culture.

The performance gradually builds towards its final segment, featuring original Nepali songs that bring together melody, language, cultural memory, and contemporary expression. These compositions offer a more intimate and lyrical conclusion to the journey.

More than simply a musical performance, it is an invitation to listen deeply, experience the sounds of the Himalayas, and reconnect with the relationship between culture, nature, and human emotion.
