【YouMe Night Session #03】 見えない美をひらく - 香りとアートが紡ぐ記憶・認知症ケア・Universal Human Beings Unveiling Invisible Beauty: Fragrance, Memory, Dementia Care, and Universal Human Beings 視覚情報に偏重した現代社会において、嗅覚は人の本能や記憶の深層に直接触れる感覚です。嵯峨美術短期大学で香りのアート・デザインおよび認知症と嗅覚刺激の研究を行う岩﨑陽子教授と、ミラノ工科大アレッサンドロビアモンティを交え、渉成園をはじめとする京都の風土から抽出した香り体験を交えたワークショップと対談を実施します。「Universal Human Beings（普遍的な人間存在）」をテーマに、身体性を取り戻すデザインの可能性を考察します。 In a society overly dominated by visual information, olfaction is an essential sense that directly stimulates human instincts and deepest memories. Prof. Yoko Iwasaki (Saga Art College), a pioneer in perfume art and dementia care research, joins fragrance artist Kusunoki and international design thinkers for an immersive evening. Pioneering scholar connecting olfactory aesthetics, contemporary art, and psychological memory. She collaborates actively with medical and healthcare institutions to implement sensory stimulation art programs for elderly dementia patients. Alessandro Biamonti Architect, PhD in Design, Associate Professor at the Department of Design, Politecnico di Milano, where he coordinates the LABIRINT Research Atelier, focused on the anthropological dimensions of design. He has long been exploring how design relates to imperfection and fragility, a line of enquiry that led to the founding of GRACE_lab (Compasso d'Oro Honourable Mention). Active in international relations (Rector's Delegate for International Relations with India, promoter of ERASMUS exchanges and member of international boards), he has a strong interest in intercultural dialogue.
