30TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR - [HIGHLIGHTS 26-27] Three decades after the release of their groundbreaking debut album, Placebo return to the stage with Placebo RE:CREATED — a powerful and uncompromising reinterpretation of the record that first introduced them to the world in 1996. At a time when Britpop dominated the UK, Placebo stood apart. With their raw sound and fearless exploration of themes such as identity, sexuality and alienation, they quickly established themselves as one of the most distinctive and provocative voices of their generation. Songs like “ Nancy Boy ” and “ 36 Degrees ” became defining anthems, shaping an alternative narrative within the rock landscape. With RE:CREATED , Placebo revisit this seminal album through the lens of 30 years of experience. Rather than simply revisiting the past, the band reworked the original recordings, infusing them with the energy, scale and intensity that their live performances have built over decades. The result is not a nostalgic throwback, but a bold reassertion of their artistic identity. On October 9, Placebo take over Rockhal for a show that bridges past and present — where the raw spirit of their early days meets the power and confidence of the band they have become. Maria Iskariot Maria Iskariot is female punk rock from Belgium—the patron saint of debatable behavior. Their music finds a shred of hope in near-total hopelessness: noisy, urgent, and equal parts panic attack, pseudo-philosophical pamphlet, and punk explosion. Their debut EP EN/EN , released in April 2024 on Dutch label Burning Fik, deals with growing up, struggling to distinguish right from wrong, and feeling lost in yourself and the conditions of our time. It’s about wanting things to be different without knowing how—and ultimately realizing that we, too, are all benevolent assholes.
