Next month sees the launch of a brand new series here in our City of Angels. Longtime local favorite SEEPS and relative newcomer bilaliwood have teamed up to curate an evening of music that's strictly for "the heads". Well, not really. All are welcome. Just don't be standing around with a phone in your hand trying to figure out what's playing because Shazam won't stand a chance at competing with our lineup when it comes to digging.  Your hosts will start the evening before handing off the reins to Zernell Gillie to really set the tone. An L.A. resident by way of Chicago, Zernell has been beating dancefloors across the U.S. and overseas for quite some time as the record label head of Grimy! Edits, remixer, and selector. Most recently he's also found big success as the founder behind Zernell Gillie Fragrances, which ties together his love of music with his passion for smelling DAMN good. The fragrance business has kept Zernell so busy that even finding time to DJ has been challenging lately, so having him on this bill is a rare treat.  Following Mr. Grimy will be none other than the DURTY TRUTH himself, Darryn Jones. Also hailing from Chicago, Darryn started off as a dancer in high school before getting a chance to learn his way around a set of turntables. This led to a serious record buying habit which we'd like to believe hasn't stopped since. Where most of us might spend the bulk of our time on the dancefloor to discover music, Darryn has always gravitated toward doing the hard work of serious DIGGING. Releases on his own DURTY TRUTH label, as well as JWTWN and Hot Biscuit all reflect this deep dedication to unearthing forgotten gems to the next generation of dancers. Unbelievably, this will be Darryn's first time performing in LA and so we imagine the record bag will be carrying some extra special cuts. Rounding off the night (or early morning) will be a real local favorite and we couldnt be more proud to have Rich A.B. close it out. Based in the heart of the Ojai creative community, he is the program director at Ojai's Radio Roma and founding member of the Sound of Make Believe hi-fi parties in LA. We are sure he will perfectly dial in the final hours of a night that is set to be GRIMY & DURTY.  So don't be the person kicking yourself Monday morning as you stare at reels from the party on social media. Make the smart choice and get 'dialed in' for the start of something special. Minimum age: 21+
