Talent Lab / Cinemagic Festival 2026 - USING MUSIC IN FILM & TV TALENT LAB WITH CATHERINE GRIMESThis session will take emerging filmmakers through the basic rule of music copyright and producer responsibility, as well as score commissioning and the importance of post-production and how it relates to music. Catherine Grimes is a leading Music Supervisor, with over 30 years' experience in music business affairs and creative work within the field of Music Supervision for TV and film. Catherine works closely with writers, directors, producers and commissioners to curate the perfect soundtrack for each television or film project. Based in Belfast, she has worked on local productions including 'Blue Lights', 'How to Get to Heaven from Belfast', 'The Lovers', 'Trespasses' and 'Close to Home' and has just completed working on forthcoming feature films, 'My Duchess' and 'Frank and Percy'.
