Artist Roundup: Collaging, Flyer Making, and the Community Zine

AcA's Artist Roundups gather together artists and creatives for a casual night of making connections while also making art. By bringing artists of various backgrounds together, Artist Roundups hope to encourage dialogue and collaboration across artistic disciplines and create a shared sense of community and belonging. This month, join former Artist Alliance member Jesse Poimboeuf for a night of collaging and mixed media artmaking as we put together the 7th issue of the Creative Acadiana Community Art Zine. Inspired by the grassroots flyers handmade by the Artist Alliance in the 90s you'll collage flyers of your own: for real events, fake events, concepts, or anything else you can imagine! Collaging materials will be provided but you're also encouraged to bring your own. Old photos, stickers, interestingly patterned paper. Everything 2 dimensional is fair game. Scissors will be provided but if you may also bring other cutting utensils if you wish. Creatives of all levels welcome!
