We are super excited to announce SplicD’s first fully independent screening. We will be showing the magical Strawberry Mansion (2021) directed by Albert Birney and Kentucker Audley. Set in the not-too-distant future where dreams are audited for tax purposes, agent James Preble travels to a remote farmhouse to review the dreams of the eccentric, aging artist Arabella “Bella” Isadora. While roaming through Bella’s VHS archive, holding a lifetime of her dreams, Preble stumbles upon a secret that offers him a chance at love and hope for escape. Hosted by SplicD Cinema, a collective that programs films and events that reveal the cracks in our daily lives. With curations that range from documentaries that illuminate perspectives we don’t often see, to states of suspended reality that imagine alternate worlds and ways of living, SplicD aims to build a community that engages with film as a way of understanding the world.Accessibility There are stairs leading up to the screening space.
