Edwidge Danticat in Conversation The recipient of a MacArthur “Genius” grant, Edwidge Danticat’s renowned works of fiction include Breath, Eyes, Memory, an Oprah's Book Club selection; The Dew Breaker, a PEN/Faulkner Award finalist and winner of the inaugural Story Prize; and Claire of the Sea Light, a New York Times Notable Book. Dèy is her first novel in more than a decade, and one of her most deeply affecting works yet. Moving from Haiti to Brooklyn to Miami, Dèy follows a narrator who flits between worlds like a firefly, telling a deeply affecting story of the Haitian diaspora, grief, and inseverable family ties.
