Eight Around is an intimate Bohri-style supper club, where 12 people gather around a large metal platter, called the 'Thaal', for an 8-course Veg large meal, shared stories and real connections.In a world of rushed meals, Eight Around invites you to slow down. The Menu is unique for each experience, the food home-cooked with the finest ingredients. The Thaal brings everyone together around the same table, for lingering conversations, loud laughs, shared plates and, of course, very full bellies.What makes this experience different?What makes Eight Around different is that you don’t just come for a meal, you step into a Bohri home, experience its culture, discover a cuisine shaped by generations and places, and meet people over the simple joy of trying something new. The Menu for each experience is chosen with care & attention to what is fun on the tongue & truly good for the body, recipes which have travelled across continents, from Yemen to Africa to India & passed down generations, some literally created by my Grandma, cooked at home. And then there is the gathering itself, true to the Bohri tradition of mehman-nawazi, everyone comes together around the Thaal sharing food & naturally sharing stories, laughter and experiences.About the host:Alefiya & Husain are professionals by day and foodies by night (sometimes day too). They envisioned Eight Around as a way to share their love for food, hosting and bringing people together.Behind them is a family that has shaped the experience, from grandmothers and parents who have passed down recipes and traditions to everyone who helps bring each evening to life.Together, they create an experience that is warm, personal and deeply rooted in the food and hospitality they grew up with.
