200- level Professional Development workshop Science Communication Zine Workshop Wednesday October 21 | 8:00–9:30 am PT / 11:00 am–12:30 pm ET Optional Working Session 9:30–10:00 am PT / 12:30–1:00 pm ET Deepen your science communication practice in this interactive workshop designed for scientists, researchers, educators, and science communication professionals who are already familiar with the fundamentals of public engagement. This workshop is designed for participants who already have science storytelling and messaging experience. Participants will develop zines through interactive, hands-on learning. October 21 - Zines for Science Storytelling Participants will explore how zines combine visual storytelling, personal voice, and accessible design to communicate science in memorable ways, while beginning to develop ideas for their own science-centered zine. This is an interactive workshop that offers practice hands-on techniques and connection opportunities with fellow science communicators interested in sharing their work. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Letter of Recognition. This event is hosted by the STEM Community of Practice for Education (SCoPE) team.
