This is happening too...... with the amazing Clare Cowley at The Junk Bar ..... Sun ...... Sept 13th .... 2pm - 4.30pm following on from a theme - of 'battles' at The Junk Bar Countrified is a Brisbane/ Meanjin three-piece, acoustic band that have been playing fun, high energy, loose, country style covers of 70’s, 80’s ‘hits’ since 2021. With the effervescent Maureen Hanson (from bands such as Miami, The Casuarinas ) on lead vocals and general all round good vibes, Johnno Harrison (of Waiting for Brenda fame) on Dobro, slide guitar and banjo and Greg Eales ( from Cosmic Cowboy and the Incognitos , One Track Pony ) on acoustic guitar, shaker and backing vocals. They often play at Art galleries and parties but have also played around town at venues including The Triffid, The Junk Bar, The Cave Inn, Can You Keep a Secret, It’s Still a Secret and The Blind Tiger Bar. They play a range of fun, energetic, diverse range cover versions of songs from artists such as Duran Duran,The Go-Betweens, The Triffids, Big Star Echo and The Bunnymen , and many more
