Silvatein- The Wrinkles In Time is a Hindi play written and directed by Dr Shatarupa Bhattacharyya.On their way to destinations unknown, a man and a woman run into each other. As they start talking, the man, Arijit, is convinced that the woman is his estranged wife. Rupali, the woman, however, maintains that they have never met before. What follows is a bizarre journey as they explore the implications of this serendipitous encounter - where the past rears its head repeatedly while the future threatens to surge ahead.For him, they once had a life together... For her, their paths were never the same... In a place unknown, at a time undefined, the play will take you into this twisted story of Arijit and Rupali and force you to ask, "Is this even real?" as you witness the differing accounts of lives lived. It is abstract yet unsettlingly specific, simple yet confoundingly complex, subtle yet brazenly bold.Silvatein is an autopsy of incompatibility, a shared autopsy where two people – a man and a woman – who have encountered one another somewhere, someday, are reflecting on a failed relationship. It is this encounter that survivors of failed and traumatic relationships have played out in their heads that Silvatein seeks to represent.
