Wildgroei was for years the place where EKKO’s raw edge, an eccentric crowd, and unconventional line-up came together. A night where hands were thrown into the air and you could forget about everything else for a while. As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, Wildgroei returns to EKKO for one night only. Between 2010 and 2015 Wildgroei served Utrecht’s Thursday nights, and sometimes even Wednesday nights, a big dose of musical stubbornness. From Soulwax to Boys Noize, from Justice to VItalic: boundaries faded and new worlds were discovered. Now, Wildgroei returns to where it all started, including vodka fountain and the hard-mouthed programming that characterised Wildgroei nights over a decade ago. Minimum age: 18+
