Slashed Tires is the multitimbral avant-funk music endeavor of former Seattle local Kenneth M. Piekarski. Often mistaken for a performance artist during live shows, Slashed Tires is simply an extension of your friend who just wants to have a nice time, crooning about the underlying anxieties of contemporary alienation to a groove. Duchess is the Ridgewood-based music project of multi-instrumentalist Victor Florence. The music combines the intimacy of bedroom pop with the velocity of guitar experimentation, collapsing genres into a singular sound. Started in Tampa, Florida, Duchess has moved through Chicago, Mexico City, and New York, collecting new sounds and approaches to what makes a song. Gwen Frost is a multi-instrumental solo-project based in NYC. Gwen is a singer and songwriter who uses a variety of instruments and sampled sounds to create a blended collage of poetry, vocals, and soundscapes.
