A First Friday Residency: Dinner Theatre withAlexPrizgintas at the Sweet Clover Farm DistilleryAlexPrizgintas serves many roles in Woodbury: president of the Woodbury Historical Society, town historian for both Tuxedo and Woodbury, and a very active musician. The part ofAlexas a musician is about to get more interesting. “After nearly six years of developing more than a dozen shows, I will be taking a four-month residency at the Sweet Clover Farm Distillery,” according toAlexPrizgintas.This First Friday Residency will feature one ofAlex's shows on the first Fridays for the months of October, November, December, and January. Dinner will be provided by Cosimo’s, a local favorite. Admissionwill be $35 per person, including food, with seating beginning at 6:30 and the show starting at 7:00 PM. "This will be a dinner show, and I hope that I can work together to make this the start of something very special for Woodbury and our surrounding communities. With more than 270 performances throughout the Hudson Valley just this year, being able to have my own show as aFirst Friday of the Month Artist is amazing."What I do is part drama, part concert, a bit of storytelling, and mostly a show. It’s a unique package of sound that blends history and harmony into a staged performance that eases the audience into anhour’s conversation that lowers the volume, pierces the divisions, and reminds us who we are when we meet as a community.The first show will be on Friday, October 2nd at 7:00 PM, and will feature The British Invasion, with selections from Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Cream, Deep Purple, and, of course, The Beatles.While the American Blues found its origins in the United States, the unique sound traveled across the ocean to England, whereit took root and later returned as part of the highly successful British Invasion of the 1960s.
