W H O I S T H I S P A R T Y F O R ?

Pleasure Committee is a new party series by Dunaway and cast of rotating volunteers that sees play as work and werq for pleasure — exploring the intersection of dancefloor collectivity and (in)direct political activism.

Anyone as always but we do ask those who are not from the community that we are celebrating to ask themselves why they are coming? Who are they coming with? And if they are coming, how are they contributing to the space?

This party is a way to be together otherwise. While the party may be a temporary break within the humdrum of daily life, an escape from the usual, Pleasure Committee is interested in the ways in which the party can nudge our social/bodily lives by delivering a marginal sensation that one may carry back into the world.

A R E A

A dedicated area will be set up and used for play, chats, connection, and whatnots. Pleasure Committee has a zero tolerance policy for sexual and/or physical harassment or violence. Anyone who does not follow this policy while partying with us will be asked to leave. If you experience this behaviour in any form then please report it to the organizers and volunteers.

T A X I F U N D

We have reserved some funds for folks to take a safe ride home at the end of the night. When you are ready to leave, speak to one of the organizer and get $10 for your ride. Honour system so no questions asked.

We collect donations for the Taxi Fund on the door, throughout the night and on our BuyMeACoffee which is linked on our Instagram @pleasure.committee

We ask you to be more thoughtful/careful/intentional with photos or videos. please avoid taking/posting photos/videos of others without consent. we encourage you to live in the moment.

We aim to be accessible as possible for low income Queer Women, Intersex, Non-binary and Trans Black, Indigenous and People of Color. We have a limited number of free tickets set aside for each event, if you need access to a free ticket please DM us :)

A light water-based haze will used sporadically throughout the night. No strobe lighting will be used and there will be hues of decorative lighting.
