Winnipeg Comedy Festival Submission Showcase Edmonton’s best local comics are going for the big leagues. The Winnipeg Comedy Festival is currently accepting submissions for its 2027 televised shows, and The Stand Up Show is giving Edmonton comics a chance to put their best material on tape. For one night only, some of the funniest comics in the city will take the stage to record their 8–10 minute festival submission sets. These are polished, purpose-built sets from comics making a serious push for one of Canada’s biggest comedy festivals. Come see the material before it potentially makes its way to a national audience. Featuring some of Edmonton’s best stand-up comics, with each performer bringing their own take on the WCF’s 2027 themes, including relationships, fear, home, work, sleep and the many ways we’re all barely holding it together. If you love Edmonton comedy, this is a chance to see the next wave of local talent putting their best work forward.
