Launch of A World Apart: The RST Art Collection

You are invited to attend the launch of A World Apart: The Royal Society of Tasmania Art Collection. Please click on the BOOK NOW button on this TryBooking page to RSVP.

A World Apart: The Royal Society of Tasmania Art Collection opens one of Tasmania’s significant but little-known cultural collections to a wider audience. More than 850 historic artworks reveal Tasmania through the eyes of colonial artists, naturalists, explorers and settlers in this major new publication from the Royal Society of Tasmania. The 312-page book includes 853 images, many of which have rarely been exhibited. It provides the first comprehensive pictorial survey of the collection in print and serves as an extraordinary visual record of Tasmania and surrounding regions from the eighteenth century to the early twentieth century.

Pre-launch price: RST members $79 Non-members $88. Pre-launch prices are available until 17 October. Copies can be ordered through the Royal Society of Tasmania website: https://rst.org.au/shop/a-world-apart/

A World Apart will be launched by Emeritus Professor Kate Warner AC at Runnymede, 61 Bay Rd, New Town, at 3 pm on Sunday, 18 October. We thank the National Trust Tasmania for making this wonderful heritage venue available for the launch.
