This full‑day felting workshop guides students through creating a textured 9 × 12" needle‑felted mountain landscape with a dramatic sky. The primary focus is on building the skills needed to construct a landscape in fibre—fine layering for subtle colour blends, shaping forms, creating depth, and working with a variety of fibres to achieve rich visual effects.
Students will also explore how to analyze a reference image to support their creative decisions, learning how to identify useful elements, simplify complex areas, and adjust details to strengthen the final composition.
A selection of specialty fibres—including mohair lace, silk, and fine yarn—will be available to enhance texture and atmosphere. All materials are provided. The class runs from 10:00–4:00 pm, with a 45‑minute lunch break.
