APLR Presents: **The Forest Dwellers - Chinobay, Scott Sheerin, and River Guerguerian** **Friday, November 20th, 2026** **AyurPrana Listening Room - 312 Haywood Rd, Asheville, NC 28806** **Doors 6PM || Show 7 PM** **The Forest Dwellers** The Forest Dwellers is an improvisational world music collaborative based in Asheville NC. Their name is drawn from their love for and inspiration from these mountain forests. Featuring the renowned Ugandan musician Chinobay ( kora, endongo, kalimba, balufon) who embodies the ancestral spirits of traditional African musics with soul and virtuosity. The extraordinary drummer River Guerguerian ( world kit, frame drum, kanjira, ) who flies between the worlds on wings of rhythm and time. The traditional healer and wind player Scott Sheerin ( flutes, saxophones, bass clarinet, wind synth) steps in and out of the flow, listening to the soul and healing spirit that music and the human heart are capable of. There is so much joy and life force in this music. Creative, grounded, and yet ethereal, their songs, grooves, and deep silences feel at once ancient and new.
