Join Jeremy Monteiro and an extraordinary cast of friends for a sizzling, soulful and virtuosic celebration of 50 years in jazz! Marking five decades since he began his professional career in 1976, Jeremy brings together a stellar international ensemble featuring celebrated French trumpeter and co-founder of the Paris Jazz Big Band, Nicolas Folmer; Singapore saxophonist Sean Hong Wei, the enfant terrible of the Singapore jazz scene; and one of Asia’s finest jazz guitarists, Eugene Pao. They are joined by the formidable rhythm section of Ben Poh on bass and Hong Chanutr Techatananan on drums, along with the astonishing young vocalist Maya Raisha, currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Jazz Studies in New York as a scholar of Jazz Association (Singapore). Fifty years after first stepping onto the professional stage, Jeremy Monteiro is still swinging, still searching, and still making music with joy, fire and heart. This evening will feature favourite jazz standards, beloved original compositions, new works, and tender ballads—music that reflects a lifetime of friendship, swing, soul and artistic adventure.
