響き満ち 光入る ― 建長寺 龍王殿 文化催事 ― 鎌倉・建長寺の通常拝観が終わった後、静寂に包まれる龍王殿。 ろうそくの灯りとほのかな照明の中、日本画、常磐津、舞、料理が響き合う、一夜限りの文化催事を開催いたします。 日が暮れ、現代の光が静かに消えていく頃、波の音に導かれながら、遠い時代の日本へ。 電気のない時代、人々はわずかな灯りの中で、音や影、風の気配に耳を澄ませ、暮らしの中にある美を感じていました。 本催事では、江戸の夜を思わせるほの暗い空間の中で、常磐津と舞、日本画、料理を通じて、受け継がれてきた日本の美意識を五感で体験していただきます。 受け継がれてきた日本の美を、いまここで 日本には、長い歴史の中で育まれ、時代を越えて受け継がれてきた美があります。 自然の移ろいを映す日本画。 江戸の町で磨かれ、語り継がれてきた常磐津。 限られた灯りの中で、音や影、余白までを味わう感性。 それらは、過去のものとして残されているのではなく、今を生きる私たちの中にも、静かに息づいています。 この夜が、日本文化の奥深さに改めて触れ、私たちが受け継いできたものの美しさを思い出す時間となることを願っています。 日本を初めて訪れる方にも、日本に暮らす方にも。 自分たちの文化を、もう一度新しい眼差しで見つめる一夜をお届けします。 通常拝観後の、特別な建長寺へ 建長寺の通常拝観時間終了後、一般の参拝者が帰った静かな時間に、龍王殿で開催される特別な夜の催事です。 昼間とは異なる静けさと、夜の光に浮かび上がる建築や庭の表情をお楽しみください。 日本画 日本画家・襖絵画家の伊東正次氏による作品を展示いたします。 会場では、日本画にほのかな光を当て、暗がりの中から作品が静かに浮かび上がるような演出を予定しています。 作品の鑑賞とともに、伊東氏から制作や日本画についてのお話を伺います。 常磐津・舞 江戸時代から受け継がれてきた歌舞伎音楽・常磐津。 三味線と語り、日本舞踊による第一部の上演に加え、催事の終盤には、日本画、常磐津、舞が響き合う特別なパフォーマンスを予定しています。 江戸から現代へと受け継がれてきた音の中に、日本人が大切にしてきた情緒や美意識を感じていただきます。 特別料理 イタリア人シェフによる、この日のための特別料理をご用意いたします。 文化体験の余韻とともに、ゆっくりと食事とデザートをお楽しみください。 開催概要 開催日 2026年10月10日（土） 開催時間 16:30～20:30 受付開始 16:30 開演 17:00 会場 建長寺 龍王殿 神奈川県鎌倉市山ノ内8 定員 60名限定 内容 日本画展示 常磐津演奏 舞 出演者によるお話 特別料理・デザート 夜間特別文化体験 ご案内 会場内は、催事の世界観を大切にするため、ろうそくの灯りと必要最小限の照明による、ほの暗い演出を予定しています。 建長寺および会場の規定に基づき、安全に配慮して実施いたします。 当日の進行や出演内容は、調整により一部変更となる場合がございます。 主催 純桜舎｜JUNOUSHA 純桜舎は、日本の美意識や精神性を、芸術、音楽、料理、文化体験を通じて国内外へ伝える活動を行っています。 公式サイト https://junousha.com Instagram @junousha_official Hibiki Michi, Hikari Hairu A Cultural Evening at Ryuo-den Hall, Kenchoji Temple After regular visiting hours at Kenchoji Temple, Ryuo-den Hall becomes enveloped in a rare and profound stillness. In the gentle glow of candlelight and subtle illumination, traditional Japanese painting, Tokiwazu music, dance, and cuisine come together in a one-night-only cultural experience. As evening falls and the lights of the modern world quietly fade, guests are invited to step into the atmosphere of old Japan. Before the age of electricity, people lived with a heightened sensitivity to sound, shadow, wind, and the quiet beauty found in everyday life. Through Tokiwazu, dance, Japanese painting, and cuisine, this evening offers a multi-sensory experience of the Japanese aesthetic that has been passed down through generations. Rediscovering the Beauty Inherited Through Japanese History Japan possesses a unique beauty shaped over centuries and carried forward from one generation to the next. The changing seasons reflected in Japanese painting. Tokiwazu, refined and cultivated during the Edo period. A sensibility that finds beauty in shadow, silence, light, and space. These are not simply remnants of the past. They still live quietly within us today. This event has been created in the hope that guests will rediscover the depth and beauty of Japanese culture, and reconnect with the timeless aesthetic sensibility that has continued from the Edo period into the present day. A Special Evening at Kenchoji Temple After Visiting Hours This event will take place at Ryuo-den Hall after regular visiting hours, when the temple grounds have grown quiet and daytime visitors have departed. Guests will experience Kenchoji Temple in an atmosphere entirely different from the daytime—a rare evening setting in which the architecture, garden, shadows, and silence reveal a deeper beauty. Traditional Japanese Painting Works by Japanese painter Masatsugu Ito, known for his fusuma-e sliding-door paintings, will be exhibited during the event. The paintings will be softly illuminated, allowing them to emerge gently from the darkness. Guests will also have the opportunity to hear directly from the artist about his work, his creative process, and the world of Japanese painting. Tokiwazu-Traditional Kabuki Music and Dance Tokiwazu is a traditional form of Japanese narrative music that developed during the Edo period and became an important part of Kabuki theatre, particularly as an accompaniment to dance. The evening will feature a live Tokiwazu performance with traditional dance. Toward the end of the event, Japanese painting, Tokiwazu, and dance will come together in a special performance, creating a powerful harmony of sound, movement, and visual art. Through this artistic expression, passed down from the Edo period to the present day, guests will experience a uniquely Japanese sense of emotion, elegance, and beauty. Special Cuisine A special meal created for this occasion by an Italian chef will be served during the evening. Guests are invited to enjoy the cuisine and dessert at a relaxed pace, allowing the experience of art, music, dance, and food to unfold as one continuous cultural journey.
