Saxessential Swedish saxophonist Nils Erik Hagström and Messiah University’s own Todd Goranson perform as the duo Saxessential, offering a vibrant program that bridges jazz, contemporary and classical styles across instruments ranging from sopranino to baritone saxophone. Hagström is an internationally active baritone saxophonist who has premiered and commissioned numerous works for his instrument. Goranson maintains an active international career on both saxophone and bassoon, appearing with artists from Ray Charles to major symphonies. Together, they bring dynamic artistry and infectious musical energy to the stage. As a courtesy to our performers and other patrons, we suggest that children under age 6 not attend our performances. Everyone, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
