About WOMAD AotearoaWOMAD Aotearoa is confirmed to return to the iconic Bowl of Brooklands, Brooklands Park, New Plymouth, Taranaki, from 12–14 March 2027, with tickets on-sale now for the three unforgettable days of music, culture, creativity and discovery.For more than two decades, WOMAD Aotearoa has become one of New Zealand's most beloved festivals, transforming the stunning natural amphitheatre into a vibrant celebration of global music, arts, ideas and connection. More than a music festival, WOMAD is a place where cultures meet, conversations begin, families gather and audiences stumble upon artists, flavours and experiences they never expected to find.Whether punters are returning to reconnect with a festival they’ve loved for years or planning their very first visit, WOMAD offers something unlike any other event on the calendar. Across three immersive days, the world comes to Taranaki, creating a festival experience built on curiosity, inclusivity and the joy of discovering something new around every corner.As preparations begin for the 2027 festival, WOMAD Aotearoa is reaffirming its commitment to making the festival as accessible as possible, ensuring even more people can experience everything the weekend has to offer.In welcome news for festivalgoers, ticket prices have been held for a fourth consecutive year, allowing attendees to secure the same great value despite rising costs across the events industry.Returning for 2027 is the popular PayPlan option, making it easier than ever to plan ahead and spread the cost of attending. Festivalgoers purchasing First Release three-day tickets can lock in the best available price and pay from as little as $13 per week over a maximum of 30 weeks.Families will also benefit from an expanded free child ticket policy, with children aged 15 years and under now receiving free entry when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult, extending the previous under-12 offering and making the festival even more accessible for families looking to share the WOMAD experience together.Drew James, Event Director says “WOMAD has always been about creating a welcoming place where people can connect through music, culture and shared experiences. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER BUYING MY TICKETS ONLINE?You will immediately receive your confirmation email with your receipt via the email address on your order.Tickets are on Delayed Delivery which is a suspension of ticket delivery to help prevent fraud and scalping of WOMAD tickets. This delay will be lifted on the 1st of December 2026, at which time you will receive your e-tickets via the email address provided in your order.

FESTIVAL ONLY TICKETSWe have held the prices across our festival tickets for the fourth year running! As a bonus for our locals, we are offering Friday night tickets at $150 Adult and $135 Youth, offer available for one month from 23 July 2026! (This is a 21% discount on 2025!)

We have options that are both budget-friendly and luxurious.GENERAL CAMPINGBring your tent and settle into the heart of the WOMAD camping community. Ideal for festival goers who enjoy the energy, atmosphere, and social side of staying onsite. General camping is for you if:

You are bringing your own tent.
You enjoy a bustling festival campsite atmosphere.

GROUP CAMPING (GENERAL CAMPING)For groups who want to reserve a dedicated 10m x 10m campsite in the General Area.Ideal for:

Groups who want to ensure they can camp together in a dedicated space.
Group campsites are available for 10 pax only however if there are free children aged 15 and under, they must be accommodated in the 10m x 10m campsite.
One person must make the booking on behalf of the group and be responsible for the distribution of the tickets, to ensure each person has a valid ticket to gain access.

• As with all other ticket types, there are no refunds NO EXCEPTIONS.* Group camping for 10 pax is discounted by 10%.

FAMILY CAMPINGA smaller, more family-focused camping area for those attending WOMAD with Tamariki. Bring you own tent and enjoy a campsite with a more relaxed atmosphere while still being close to the festival. Family camping is a fit for you if:

You are attending WOMAD with children.
You are bringing your own tent.
You’d prefer a smaller, family-oriented campsite.

MOTORHOME CAMPINGBring your home on wheels and stay onsite for the full WOMAD weekend. The Motorhome Camping area is available for:

Motorhomes, Caravans, Campervans and Sleeper Vans, House Buses or Trucks - anything on wheels!

*Motorhome Camping ticket includes the tow vehicle fee for 2027.*For safety, no tents will be allowed into the Motorhome Camping area.ACCESSIBILITY CAMPOur accessible campsite area is designed for festival goers who need a campsite with easier access to facilities, vehicles and festival transport. This area may be suitable if:

You need flat easy access to toilets, showers, and wash-up facilities.
You need to camp close to your vehicle.
You hold a Mobility Parking Permit.
You need access to golf-cart transport between the campsite and festival entrance.
