Saturday 14th November · Central Hall, Tollcross, Edinburgh Film premieres, talks, exhibitors, raffle and more. Time to get hyped for the Scottish winter season! Bar provided in partnership with Edinburgh-based Campervan Brewery. The Backcountry Bash is a night of celebration for the Scottish Winter Sports community. A chance to see new home-grown films premiered by the locals who made them, hear from the folk shaping the scene, and get properly stoked for the season ahead. The evening runs in two halves. First, the exhibition floor, with standout brands and personalities at the heart of the Scottish Winter Sports Community. It's the time for browsing gear, asking the questions, catching up with old friends and meeting new ones! Then, it's show time; we sit down for the films, talks, raffle and more. This year we're at Central Hall in Tollcross, the same venue that hosted the original Winter Opener. With a max capacity of around 700, there will be plenty more space for those who missed out last year. Everyone is welcome, whatever your experience level and however you like to spend your time in the hills. If you're new to the backcountry, all the more reason to come along. This is where the hype starts and the plans for the coming season start to fall into place.
