ORII REBIRTH | SPITNIGHTS TAKEOVER #oriieast

SPITNIGHTS TAKEOVER

We're teaming up with SpitNights to bring you a spoken word special with some of the best poets on the scene. After our first collab last month at their home, we've invited them to perform with our house band to improvise soundtracks to their poems.

Timings:

1st half | for beginners to come on stage supported by our house band and hosts + an open and welcoming space for beginners and emerging dancers to step in, explore and build confidence.

2nd half | SpitNights takeover

Five years of moving, connecting and building together.

It’s been beautiful, transformative, and we’re incredibly proud of the community we’ve created. But right now, grassroots culture in London is facing real challenges, and we believe ORII needs to evolve with it.

ORII was created to serve and uplift artists and creatives. To protect our community, the spirit of ORII, and make sure artists, hosts, dancers, and everyone involved are properly valued, we are entering a new chapter: ORII REBIRTH.

We have transitioned to 4 landmark events per month:

✨ Week 1: ORII EAST + ORII SOUTH

OG sessions - *jams, cyphers, freestyle & open floor.*

✨ Week 3: ORII EAST + ORII SOUTH

Special events - *themed sessions, workshops, battles, collaborations & takeovers.*

Less quantity, more intention. More space to dance. More opportunities to connect. More meaningful collaborations. More value for the community.
