James Holden & Wacław Zimpel + drift FM — Pavel Milyakov (buttechno) & Ugnė Uma at Earth Theatre

inklingroom: Festival of New Music from Eastern Europe presents:

James Holden & Wacław Zimpel + drift FM — Pavel Milyakov (buttechno) & Ugnė Uma + more TBA

The event will feature long-standing collaborators James Holden and Wacław Zimpel - who bring their instrumental explorations and hypnotic improvisation to the festival, the British electronic musician and Polish clarinetist grounded in a mutual love for trance-like repetition and improvisation. Followed by a collaboration between electronic musician Pavel Milyakov (buttechno) and Lithuanian artist and vocalist Ugnė Uma. Blending abstract pop, R&B and trip-hop sensibilities with atmospheric electronics, sparse rhythms and textured noise, the duo creates an intimate, open-ended space where voice and sound continually shift between song and abstraction.
