Ski Team, Jessica Pavone, Weeknight Pennsylvania (Early Show)

Acclaimed composer, violist, and improviser Jessica Pavone celebrates the release of her sixth solo viola album, ...Is In the Air, out October 16 on Relative Pitch and Weird Cry Records. The new record expands her distinctive approach to the viola through electronics and collaborations with guitarist Fred Frith and Fugazi bassist Joe Lally.

Ski Team’s 2026 debut Burnout/Boys was hailed by MAGNET as “one of the best singer/songwriter albums of the year.” Lucie Lozinski’s recent collaborators include members of Big Thief and SML, Sam Wilkes, Phil Weinrobe (Adrianne Lenker), Will Graefe, Tōth, and Michael Haldeman (Dijon, Moses Sumney). Ski Team heads to Manny’s amid dates stretching from New York and Los Angeles to Paris, Lisbon, Madrid, and Milan.

Weeknight Pennsylvania (formerly Weird Dream) makes loose, dreamlike pop with Nico-like spoken-word vocals, hazy textures, and whimsical arrangements.
