One Yellow Rabbit PresentsBest All-Around WhiteCreated and Performed by Lee PapaAs part of the 2027 High Performance RodeoHow do you unlearn a lifetime of lies?Writer and performer Lee Papa grew up in the American South in the 1980s, surrounded by stories about race and history that left out some rather important details. From school textbooks that downplayed the horrors of slavery to plantation tours more concerned with the suffering of slave owners, the lessons were hard to miss. In this show, Papa takes audiences on an absurd and dark tour of white America, unpacking the myths, contradictions and strange logic that shape how we understand race. It's a personal story with a much bigger reach, asking how the stories we inherit shape the way we see ourselves and each other. Expect both uncomfortable truths and lies.
