Vir Das returns to Soho Theatre to test shoot his special every night and work out his best stuff. In Vir’s words; “If you came to see me do Hey Stranger at Royal Albert Hall there will be some overlap of material. I will be using these dates to test shoot my new special for a platform. Material will change night to night as we sharpen and hone the show to get my best stuff.” One of the most beloved voices in comedy worldwide, Vir has 5 Netflix comedy specials and has performed in many of the world’s most iconic venues including Carnegie Hall in New York City, Esplenade in Singapore, Dubai Opera in UAE, The Eventim Apollo and recently the Royal Albert Hall. ‘No artist embodies the globalization of stand-up like Vir Das.’ New York Times Beyond stand-up, Vir has built an eclectic career as an actor, writer, producer and filmmaker. He has created, produced and starred in multiple series, including the ABC spy drama-comedy Whiskey Cavalier, the Netflix thriller Hasmukh and the travel show Jestination Unknown for Amazon. He also starred in Judd Apatow’s Netflix feature The Bubble. In 2026, Das made his directorial debut with Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, a comedy backed by Aamir Khan Productions, in which he also stars. He is now expanding further into filmmaking with Baara Number, his second directorial venture, a found-footage psychological horror film featuring an ensemble cast Alongside his work in comedy, film and television, Vir is also made his debut as an author in 2025 with The Outsider: A Memoir for Misfits.
