Lyhre is a Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter, producer and composer debuted in Netflix’s Series Élite and with Cannes Soundtrack recognition for her following work. Classically trained, her transdisciplinary work spans multimedia, theater and research, composing at Volksbühne Berlin, Staatsschauspiel Dresden and re:publica among others. She opens for international acts like Isabel LaRosa, ÄTNA and gets regularly praised by critics for her live performance and musical direction for theaters- incl. nachtkritik, Frankfurter Rundschau, Theater der Zeit, Die Deutsche Bühne and international Tastemakers like Metal Magazine. Recently Lyhre joined a.o. the Ircam Academy Paris as young composer, opened the Listen to Berlin Awards and played Reeperbahn Festival, where she was noted as “real discovery” by Hamburger Abendblatt. Lyhre worked as musical director, researcher and composer for theaters like Deutsches Theater Berlin, Volksbühne Berlin, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Oldenburgisches Staatstheater, Stadttheater Gießen, regularly with Thomas Krupa, Pat To Yan, Katja Gaudard, Tom Kühnel and collaborations with Hochschule für Musik Theater und Medien Hannover, Mozarteum Salzburg, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste and established Sync and Licensing Agents from LA, London and Barcelona. At the intersection of posthumanism and posthuman feminist theory- shifting formal boundaries between theatre and concert, Lyhre is interested in deconstructing power structures, aesthetic and symbolic orders within patriarchal and capitalist norms, examining systems and mechanisms that (re)produce knowledge, perception and identity within established processes of differentiation and sociotechnical processes of transformation. She received scholarships and funding for projects including rethinking humanity, supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. Alongside Katja Gaudard Lyhre forms the transdisciplinary “crtcl collective”. They received 2022 a project-based scholarship for their work on Judith Butler’s “The Force of Nonviolence” premiered at Volksbühne Berlin and became part of re:publica, europe’s digital society festival and created the multimedia experience “burnbabyburn” premiered 2025 at Oldenburgisches Staatstheater. From posthuman feminism to hard-hitting, genre-bending dark pop: Lyhre melds her husky voice, while pounding the keys of the piano, with alternative, electronic, and classical influences—lauded by Earmilk as “ pushing boundaries and evolving into a new era of Alternative.  With her upcoming EP ‘The D(e)ad Concept’ – a radical deconstruction of the concept “patriarchy” – Lyhre is coming for you, with her critically acclaimed live performance. shattering the boundaries between concert, theater, and protest.
