Join us at Readings' A Day in Carlton, 24 hours celebrating books, culture and community Beer meets the art of storytelling in a special event with Tough Guy Book Club, celebrating books, brews and the good conversations that flow from both. Tough Guy Book Club has handpicked four novels and a beer to match each book’s essence. Whet your appetite with an introduction to each book and its beer pairing, then take the opportunity to mingle and enjoy some lively conversation with fellow booklovers. You don’t need to have read the books, just come along and enjoy the conversations they spark. All genders are welcome at this friendly, inclusive social event. Start the conversation early by joining us for a snag on the steps of the church from 5.15pm. The Readings bar will also be open for business. Presented in partnership with Tough Guy Book Club, a not-for-profit organisation that works to encourage reading, build camaraderie, fight isolation, improve mental health and increase light-hearted pub discussions about books. Tickets: Full priced $45 Under 30s/concession $40 Each ticket includes four half-pot rounds of beer (non-alcoholic options available). This event is strictly 18+.
