Based in Durham, North Carolina, renowned folk artist Jake Xerxes Fussell returns to Minneapolis in support of his phenomenal new album, The Old Beloved Path. The lead single is a contemporary take on "Rock Island Line,” transforming the American traditional into a tender alt-country ballad. Over six unique and very personal studio albums, the artist has found his musical future, making traditional folk music come alive for modern ears, by reimagining, reorchestrating, and reunifying the past. By combining different traditional music sources in a completely original way, he routinely creates fresh works of art that are at once rooted in tradition and ingeniously modern.
