New Album Launch - Growing up in an unconventional household, Jamie Perrett’s musical path was almostinevitable. The son of Peter Perrett (The Only Ones), Jamie’s South London childhood was achaotic blend of musical legacy and extreme hardship. Music became his primary languageand his refuge; by age 12, he was mastering Hendrix on the guitar and using songwriting tonavigate his parents’ struggles with addiction. He was already creating songs thatforeshadowed the depth of his later work.After an early stint in the original lineup of Babyshambles and other early projects; from2015, Jamie started working closely with his father; playing a pivotal role in Peter’s creativeresurgence; contributing lead guitar, production, backing vocals and songwriting to hisfather’s solo work, released on Domino Records.Jamie produced Peter Perrett’s critically acclaimed 2024 LP “The Cleansing”, mastermindingthe appearance of guests Bobby Gillespie, Johnny Marr and Carlos O’Connell fromFontaines DC.In 2021, Jamie had begun focusing on his solo work, crafting songs for his debut project;with his 1st single receiving widespread praise from the likes of Clash, Vive Le Rock andLouder Than War.In 2023, Jamie started writing and recording new material, bringing an even darker edge tohis songwriting as he delved into themes of his childhood—abuse, neglect, fracturedrelationships, and the complexities of growing up amid broken promises.Following a string of well received releases and international tours, 2025 marked his mostambitious year yet, with 50 + shows across the UK, Europe and NYC and 3 releasesculminating in a masterful EP release in Spring 2025. With notable press coming from thelikes of Mojo Magazine, Rock and Folk and The New Que and continued Radio support fromKEXP, Radio X, Oui Fm (France) Radio Tres (Spain) and Times RadioJamie’s music blends melodic rock with raw, infectious energy, resonating with vulnerabilityand honesty that capture his life story.
