Grigoryan Brothers - Past, Present & Future (Daylesford)

Regarded as Australia's finest guitarists, Slava and Leonard Grigoryan have a telepathic ability to draw emotion from every note of a repertoire that spans centuries, continents and genres. They have an intangible connection to the soul of the music, even when it has been composed or arranged by others. Past, Present & Future honours those others who have inspired their art.

This performance will feature works from Past, Present and Future projects:

Past: Favourite works from their back catalogue - from Bach to Towner, from Tchaikovsky to Lovelady.

Present: Their own compositions and arrangements including a selection from their album/project ‘This Is Us: A Musical Reflection of Australia’ (a collaboration with the National Museum of Australia) and selections from their most recent release ‘Amistad’.

Future: An album of Spanish music, and another album of Handel keyboard suites masterfully arranged for them by their most highly honoured collaborator – their father Edward.
