Love Music Hate Racism presents an evening of music, resistance and anti-racist solidarity in Jim’s Bar, QMU, the Saturday night gig taking place during Redfest, Scotland’s largest anti-capitalist festival.
We're joined by Love Music Hate Racism all-star band, Fuck Farage Ensemble, which features members of Man of Moon, The Kidney Flowers and Telekinephews. Expect punk classics, protest songs, gloriously scrappy live energy and absolutely nae time for the politics of division.
Son of the Right Hand is a reverb-drenched, experimental six-piece based in Glasgow. Coining their sound as Folkedelic Nugaze, SRH blend shimmering guitars, fuzzy psychedelia, earthy folk influences and punchy punk energy, moving between immersive walls of sound and moments of raw intimacy.
Glasgow-based Ombongo Nambari play dub reggae, rocksteady and ska, drawing on the sounds of early Jamaican reggae and putting their own spin on the classics.
DJ Big Tuna brings a genre-spanning selection of global sounds to the decks, moving between international rhythms, heavy basslines, electronic grooves and underground cuts.
