TRANSMISSIONS PRESENTS: Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Real-life tempestuous spouses Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton star as a not-so-secretly venomous pair who invite an unsuspecting younger couple over for a night of booze-soaked cruelty and games in the timeless, utterly excellent Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966).Directed by the legendary Mike Nichols (Closer, The Graduate), and adapted from the stage, Virginia Woolf boasts arguably Taylor's finest performance in a chamber piece as ascerbic as it is wounded; where lust, resentment, and secret pain build furiously to their crescendo.Funny, merciless, and vivid to this day, November is ending with a shriek in the night. So why don't you come on down to the basement at Dalston Superstore if you want to know just how Martha and George behave in polite company. I swear, if you existed, I'd divorce you. Subtitles will be displayed throughout the film.Seating is a mixture of backed chairs, benches, bar stools, and floor space, and is first come, first served.
