Dance or Get Lost started in each other’s houses: friends opening their doors, sharing the tracks they couldn’t keep to themselves, and making space to dance freely and look after one another. Each night moved through a carefully chosen mix of sounds, with no need to stay in one lane.
For Vol. 6, we open the doors to the public for the first time. Berlin based DJ and producer THE VISITOR makes his Vancouver debut, bringing hypnotic energy and a dark, melancholic edge to the floor. DJ Shin, DJ Poliwhirl and DJ EJ join him behind the decks.
Dance or Get Lost is a nonprofit series run entirely by volunteers. All ticket revenue goes toward venue costs and paying the DJs, supporting the people and spaces that keep our local music scene alive.
We encourage you to keep your phone away. No photos, no videos. Dance in circles, catch each other’s energy, and be part of the room instead of watching it through a screen.
The room is bigger now. The invitation is the same: come as you are, get close, and lose yourself in the light, sound and body heat.
