James Barr - Live Filmed Special: Sorry I Hurt Your Son (Said My Ex To My Mum)

Domestic abuse isn’t funny, but this show is. After more than 150 performances around the world, James Barr brings his multi-award nominated show to the Clapham Grand for a one-night-only live taping. Be in the room as Sorry I Hurt Your Son (Said My Ex To My Mum) is captured for a stand-up special and will feature some extra special guests.

A bold, "genre-defying" (ArtsHub) hour that tackles domestic abuse and emotional cruelty without ever feeling overwhelming or despairing, landing as both a poignant and life-affirming hour of stand-up comedy. A darkly hilarious reckoning with shame, survival and a pushy-wushy down the stairsy-wairsy.

Nominee for Best Show at the ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards, NextUp’s Biggest Award in Comedy and the Queer Performers Award at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe, Sorry I Hurt Your Son (Said My Ex To My Mum) was also named one of the best reviewed shows of Edinburgh Fringe.
