The spotlight then turns to violinist Isabella Wang, winner of the Kay Meek Competition, performing Sibelius’ powerful Violin Concerto in D minor. Renowned for its soaring lyricism and technical demands, the concerto remains one of the most celebrated works in the violin repertoire. The concert concludes with Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, his final orchestral masterpiece.
